S Club’s Live Show Preview

S Club 7 finally launched their first-ever live UK tour yesterday (Wednesday, May 16th) when they performed a special media preview gig at the Birmingham NEC.

S Club 7 kicked off with their latest single, Don’t Stop Movin’, that looks to be heading back to the top spot and rocked through a succession of pop hits. The Hollywood-themed show was two hours of fine pop music, spectacular sets and a load of costume changes. The show was such a triumph that by the final song, S Club Party even the cynical hacks were on their feet.

After the show, the band met their fans, and some of the press. Of the boys, Paul admitted to being “exhausted” after the show, though Bradley was still jigging around and insisted on demonstrating the “James Brown bit” at the end of Bring It All Back.

Rachel was the focus of most of the attention, posing for photographs for a constant stream of fans. She told that she was very excited by the whole tour, that she particularly enjoys singing I Really Miss You, and that she thought the “backing band were incredible”

Jo, who had been the star of the show with her voice in fine form, did not hang around to schmooze for very long. Tina and Hannah were “excited and looking forward to the whole tour”.
