Hannah: Dear Diary…

Hannah SpearrittAre you lonesome tonight?

Late at night when I’m feeling lonely I always ring my mum, dad, sister or my best mates. I don’t know how high my phone bill is – I haven’t looked yet – but whatever it is, it’ll be worth it. I really wish one of my family or good friends were sitting beside me right now. My sister came out to see me recently but cos we’re working so hard, I didn’t see her much.

‘I wanna go home’

The ATB song, 9pm Till I Come was blasting out of a music shop on Venice Beach the other day and that really made me think of home. We’re not used to hearing English accents any more so when we’re walking along doing a bit of shopping and we hear some English people, it makes me think, ‘Ooh, I wanna go home’!

The write stuff

I’ve always kept a diary and I would definitely NOT be happy if I caught any of the band reading it, they’d find out certain personal things about me. A lot of myself is in there and I’m a pretty private person. My diary is all for me and no one else.

Girls vs boys

Do you know, the last argument I had was with Bradley but we were only play fighting. Sometimes we bicker on purpose just to amuse ourselves although as a rule I tend to stay away from bickery people. I get on with boys better because it seems easier to have a laugh with boys for some reason. One of my best mates is a girl, but then she’s a bit lady I suppose. We have a wicked laugh together!

Pleased to meet you

If I met myself in another life, I wouldn’t want to be my friend, no way! We’d be saying the same things! I do tend to go about with people who are similar to me but they have to be a bit different as well. I hate people who expect everyone else to be on a real high first thing in the morning. It’s not just because I’m always a bit ropey first thing, it’s mainly cos I hate people who can’t see things from different points of view. Ho hum, I tend to waffle a bit, don’t I?

S Club who?

If S Club had never happened, I’d be doing my A-levels at college or, hopefully, I’d have got them by now! I didn’t take arty subjects. I was doing maths – I like a challenge! I thought, ‘Right, OK, what’s my worst subject? Maths? I’ll do that!’ After studying, I might have taken a year out and gone travelling. I’ve got no regrets but there are a lot of things I still wanna do and I’ll make sure I get them done!

Hannah SpearrittWater baby

It does take people a long time to get to know me. For example, did you know that my favourite place is the sea? I love to sit by the seashore, just watching the water. I enjoy it more than anywhere else. It’s so chilled and calming. Also, I bet you never knew that I’m actually four inches taller than most people think! It’s just an illusion that I’m small! The press have got it all wrong…

S Club and me

A lot of people don’t actually realise that S Club really do get on. They probably think that we’re always arguing, but I don’t care. My biggest worry is the thought of trying to do a 12-hour day of work, have fun at the time and get enough sleep so I’m wide awake for the next day!
