S Club Stay Put on Pot Debate

S Club 7 opted to back out of the cannabis debate last month, refusing to comment when asked by a magazine if the drug should be legalised.

When pushed on the question in an interview in Sky Magazine in February, Tina said, flatly: “I don’t want to go there!”

Bradley McIntosh, however, who was arrested alongside Paul Cattermole and Jon Lee for smoking a joint publicly in London’s Covent Garden on Tuesday, was more expressive on the matter.

“We come across all young on TV, doing energetic songs like Reach, but we’re people, you know,” he said. “We do have opinions. We’re not just thick idiots.”

Nonetheless, Bradley was seemingly unwilling to let his opinion on the cannabis debate be known fully.

After their arrest, the trio released an official statement stating: “We have been very stupid, we know we’ve made a mistake and we’re very sorry.”
