Rachel’s Funky flops

Rachel Stevens is finding life after S Club tough going – her new single is about to bomb.

According to early figures, Funky Dory is set to enter at No24, having sold fewer than 3,500 copies. She is being thrashed by the likes of Ozzy and Kelly Osbourne, Sir Cliff Richard and Christina Aguilera.

It’s a disaster for Rachel, regarded as the only S Clubber who stood a chance of a solo career when the band split. Funky Dory is the second release from her debut album of the same name. That isn’t faring well either – it has plummeted to No77 after its release in September.
