Bride and groom: Rachel and fiance Alex Bourne will marry in Claridge's on Sunday

Six weeks after Rachel Stevens was robbed of her engagement ring, she has found a replacement just in time for her wedding.

The Strictly Come Dancing runner-up, 31, was left shaken after muggers stole her ring and other jewellery when she was ambushed on the doorstep of her north London home on June 9.

But it appears the ring’s insurance must have come through in time for her nuptials this Sunday after she was spotted flashing a new diamond today.

Rachel and her fiancé Alex Bourne were spotted today running some last-minute errands near their home before the lavish ceremony at Claridge’s Hotel this weekend.

The former S Club singer’s temporary plain band on her engagement finger has now been replaced by a pricey diamond.

Wearing a black jumpsuit and Christian Louboutin heels, Rachel appeared slimmer than usual, prompting speculation she may have lost a few pounds to fit into her wedding dress.

She was also carrying a large bottle of mineral water to help keep her skin glowing in preparation for her big day.

Rachel and Alex are planning to wed in a star-studded ceremony in the Mayfair hotel on Sunday.

Among the rumoured guests is departing Strictly judge Arlene Phillips and her dance partner Vincent Simone.

Speaking of her wedding recently, Rachel said: ‘I’m going all out, a meringue dress. I’m so excited. It’s something you hopefully only do once. ‘I’m a traditional girl, romantic.’

Rachel said she doubted she would be inviting any of her former S Club bandmates, because they were no longer in touch.

She explained: ‘t’s a celebration and you know, we just want all our closest friends and families and people we love around us and we can’t wait for the big day.’

Rachel admits Strictly tanorexia

Rachel Stevens without makeupRachel Stevens has confessed that she developed ‘tanorexia’ when she appeared on Strictly Come Dancing – as she poses make-up free for a beauty campaign.

The stunner, 31, spilled the beans on her over the top look when she appeared on the BBC1 show last year but added that going natural is ‘great’.

Rachel, along with 12 other celebs, has been snapped bare-faced for Heat magazine’s Real Celebs campaign.

She said: “I think it’s a great campaign to be a part of, celebrating women and women being natural – because we’re all the same!

Corrie actress Michelle Keegan, who was voted sexiest female at this year’s soap awards, Apprentice beauty Kate Walsh, and former EastEnder Natalie Cassidy also pose for the shoot.

All the pictures appear in Heat magazine which is on sale now.

Rachel sticks up for Arlene

Former Strictly Come Dancing beauty Rachel Stevens has laid into the BBC for axing veteran judge Arlene Phillips.

The star, who came second in last year’s show, hit out at the bosses’ decision to replace Arlene with 30-year-old singer Alesha Dixon.

She said she thought it was “horrible” if 66-year-old Arlene’s age was the reason she was ditched.

The former S Club 7 singer, 31, added: “I think it’s really bad they have got rid of Arlene. She brought lots of experience to the show and knew what she was talking about.”

Fans of the show have also blasted the decision, swamping internet forums with support for Arlene.

The show’s professional dancers are said to be fuming about the decision too.

They were reported to have complained to Strictly chiefs that Alesha won’t be as clued up about the techniques behind ballroom dancing.

Arlene was one of the West End’s top choreographers and had been with the show for six series.

The BBC defended its decision by saying that Alesha has “an insight into what dancers go through”.

It was the “right time” to give the format a reshuffle, it added.
