Be charitable: Get Rachel Stevens’ necklace!

rachelstevensnecklace

You can have this awesome fashion accessory whilst raising money for teens with cancer!

When we saw this stylish round the neck of the equally stylish Rachel Stevens, we had to know right away, where can we get one?!

Well, this beauty is available at Dune in the Bentall Centre in Kingston-Upon-Thames. If you happen to be in the area (or are willing to travel) and the oversized jewelled flower on a long chain looks like something you NEED to add to your collection of accessories, we suggest you head over!

At £45 it might seem a little steep, but here’s the important part: EVERY PENNY goes to the Teenage Cancer Trust. The organisation makes a huge difference to the lives of young people with cancer all over the country, and this necklace gives you the opportunity to help out too. Definitely worth it, we think!

If you’d like to donate to the Teenage Cancer Trust, visit their website.

S Club to turn on Mansfield Christmas Lights

Christmas is coming — and Mansfield is literally going to reach for the stars at this year’s festive lights switch-on event on Thursday 12th November.

Pop stars S Club 3 will be making dreams come true in Mansfield Market Place as they take to the stage to sing for the crowds at the hugely popular family extravaganza, before switching on the town’s Christmas lights.

Three original members of S Club 7 are currently on a reunion tour and Jo, Paul and Bradley will be appearing live on stage in the Market Place, singing their massive hits. The stage show starts at 5.30pm with the grand switch-on of the lights at 6.45pm. Then, look to the skies for the fireworks finale.

Town centre events and promotions co-ordinator Lisa Vincent said: “We have got something for all the family this Christmas and something different. S Club 3 will be singing a selection of their hits and this year we have got some camels coming down, too.”

New Primeval series to shoot in Ireland

Hannah Spearritt and Andrew-Lee Potts in Primeval series 3As ITV confirmed that a new co-production deal would allow the return of cult show Primeval, showrunner Adrian Hodges exclusively revealed to Total Sci-Fi that the new episodes will be filmed in Ireland.

A co-production deal has been made between ITV, UKTV, German station Pro7 and BBC America which will see a seven-episode fourth season premiere on ITV in early 2011, and a six-episode fifth season begin on Watch later that year.

Hodges told Total Sci-Fi “Obviously I’m thrilled that we’ll be coming back to make series 4 and 5. We were dismayed to leave the storylines unfinished at the end of series 3 and doing the new series is a chance both to put that right and move Primeval on into the future – I’m very excited about it.

“Obviously some things about the new series will be familiar to viewers but some things will change – for one thing we’re shooting the new series in Ireland, which on the production side helps us with tax breaks, but also gives us a lot of new locations to work with. Although the show has been shot in and around London up to now, it’s never been specifically a “London” show – for the most part it could be taking place in any modern city and we already know that Dublin will enable us to keep the modern, urban look of the show intact.

“The fact that we’re back at all says a great deal about the worldwide popularity of the show; without the support of fans and the very real demand for more Primeval I don’t think we’d have been able to pull this off. It goes without saying, I hope, that Tim Haines and I are deeply grateful for the way in which so many fans rallied round the show when news of its initial cancellation broke. The fact that we’re back is in large part a tribute to them.

“Primeval means a great deal to me and although we’re still at the early stage of planning the new series, our ambition is to make it the biggest and most successful series to date.”

TAKE a peek at Rachel Stevens in the sexy lingerie she loved so much … she took it on honeymoon.

The singer who starred on Strictly Come Dancing posed in the gear for her 2010 calendar.

And Rachel, 31, was so impressed with the gear she kept it for her romantic break after marrying trader Alex Bourne in August.

She told The Sun: “I shot my calendar just before I got married.

“It was perfect timing as I was allowed to take all the lingerie away with me – which was a real treat for us both!”

Rachel’s official 2010 calendar is on sale at £7.99 at stores like HMV, Clintons, Calendar Club, and Amazon.co.uk.
