Andante Music Club starts the 2021-22 season

Rotary

The Rotary Club of Fayetteville will meet in person at noon on August 26 at the Mermaids Restaurant, 2217 N. College Ave. in Fayetteville. The program will include special celebrations. The meeting will still be offered via Zoom, for those who are not comfortable coming in person. Please email the club for a link.

Nebraskans

The Nebraska Club is hosting a Tailgate Party at 5 p.m. on August 27 at the Kingsdale Pavilion in Bella Vista. The event will be prepared by Papa Mike’s and will feature pulled pork sandwiches, fries, beans, coleslaw, watermelon and drinks. The cost is $ 12.50 per person.

There will be a short general meeting. The club will also auction two football tickets for the Nebraska vs. Buffalo game on September 18.

Nurses

Retired Nurses from Northwest Arkansas will meet at noon on August 31 at Northwest Medical Center in Bentonville in Classroom A. An optional lunch can be purchased across the hall at the Allspice Cafe in from 11:15 am The noon presentation by Lisa Kelley, lawyer, will focus on estate planning and expense reduction.

N Dale Hill

Hill N Dale Hiking Club will be hiking on September 2nd on a section of the Tunnel Vision Trail in Bella Vista. This is a 6.2 mile round trip hike. This trail crosses Forest Hills Road (279) and continues to bluff the trails and Little Sugar Creek, with the option of doing a shorter 3.5 mile loop.

Participants will meet at 9 a.m. at the Scotsdale Golf Course parking lot, 10 Scotsdale Lane in Bella Vista.

Andante

Bella Vista’s Andante Music Club begins its 2021-22 season of music programming on September 7. Meetings are held at Highland Christian Church, 1500 Forest Hills Blvd. at Bella Vista. A light snack will be offered at 12:30 pm The program will be at 1:30 pm Yvonne Washer-Carson, pianist and Sarah Benzinger, soprano, will perform.

Andante’s programs are always free and open to the public.

Bowling

The Bella Vista Senior Coffee League is looking for women over 50 who would like to have fun on Tuesday mornings at the Rogers Bowling Center from September to March.

Astronomy

Sugar Creek Astronomical Society is an amateur astronomy club based in Northwest Arkansas. It was founded in Bella Vista and currently serves amateur astronomers and their families from southern Missouri to Fayetteville.

Monthly SCAS club meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month at Waterway Christian Church in Bentonville. “Astronomy Fundamentals” starts at 6.30 p.m., followed by the general meeting at 7 p.m. All ages are welcome!
