Light up your neighborhood with the Sewickley Boy Scouts

Sewickley Troop 243 Scouts continue the tradition of selling light fixture kits for the holiday season. Each kit contains 10 5 inch candles, 10 white paper bags and a bag of sand.

The price is $ 14 per kit, by check or PayPal. Orders will be taken until December 6, with delivery to local homes on December 11. To order, email [email protected] or call / text Jennifer Nastasi at 708-829-8734.

Sewickley Music Club

The Sewickley Music Club is set to welcome another great talent, Cello Fury, as program host on November 9 for a 1:30 pm performance at St. Stephen’s Angelican Church.

Cello Fury musicians Nicole Meyer, Simon Cummings and Cecelia Caughman will delight club members and their sponsored guests with a program titled “The Power and Passion of the Cello”. As usual, tea and a light meal will follow the show.

Craft Fair

The Ladies Guild Craft Show will take place on November 13 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Archangel Gabriel School in McKees Rocks. There will be crafts, food, a bake sale and a 50/50 raffle.

Turkey trot

Registration is open for Sewickley Valley YMCA’s annual Turkey Trot 5K Run / Walk on Thanksgiving Day, November 25th.

A joint project of the Heritage Valley Health System Foundation and the Sewickley Valley YMCA, the proceeds of which go to the YMCA’s Faith in Action program. Register before November 1 to receive a Turkey Trot long sleeve jersey.

Train for the Turkey Trot by signing up for the Leetsdale Snowflake Classic, which takes place on November 6 at Henle Park.

Greater Pittsburgh Commercial Connection

The Greater Pittsburgh Business Connection, a benchmark group of business professionals, will meet on November 10 at Eat N ‘Park on Route 60 in Robinson Township for breakfast from 7:15 am to 8:30 am The speakers will be Bill Bairl of Palmetto Solar. Company and Rusty Woodley of First National Bank.
