WHEELING – Thursday Music Club will hold its first luncheon of 2022 at 11 a.m. on Thursday, February 3 at Char House on the Boulevard in Bethlehem.

There are fees and you must have a reservation. Call Emily Mayer at 304-232-1714 by Monday morning January 31 to make your reservation. Members, Linda Dormas and Candia Riddle will welcome members and guests.

Gregg Molnar will be the host. Guitarist and singer, Molnar is as meticulous in his craft as he is expressive. His talent, his humor and his vast repertoire make each show unique and memorable.

Sometimes referred to as the “Human Jukebox”, Molnar plays a diverse mix of acoustic rock, oldies, country and popular favorites from all eras. Bring your requests, sit back and enjoy.

Club President Judy Szymialis will lead a short business meeting asking Secretary Suzie McCormick to read the minutes from the December 2 meeting and Treasurer Mary Ann Mysliwiec to present the Treasurer’s report.

Prospective members can join Thursday Music Club at any time. Membership dues are $20 per year.

The Thursday Music Club study group will meet at 1 p.m. on Monday, February 7 at the Island Christian Church, 59 Zane St., Wheeling. Emily Mayer will present the program and Lynn Welsh will provide the snack. All members and guests are invited.

Choir practice began Wednesdays at Elm Grove Methodist Church from 10 a.m. to noon. Call Anita Chops, director, at 304-551-1414 to reach you and for more information.

The Thursday Music Club Chorus will perform The Spring Concert at lunchtime April 7. Debbie Breiding is the piano accompanist. The concert will take place at Elm Grove Methodist Church.

Ways and Means Chair Judy Beaver will conduct a 50/50 draw.

This money goes to auditions for young musicians. The auditions will take place on Friday and Saturday March 25 and 26 at Vance Memorial Presbyterian Church and the recital will take place on April 10 at Vance Presbyterian Church.
