Ponca City Federated Music Club to Host Junior Music Festival Winners Showcase

The Ponca City Federated Music Club invites the public to attend the Junior Music Festival Winners Showcase at First United Methodist Church on Sunday, April 10 at 2 p.m. The showcase is an opportunity for the community to hear from all the local winners and for students to prepare for the Oklahoma Federation of Music Clubs (OFMC) competition on Saturday, April 30 in Ada, OK at the East Central University.

There were 82 registrations for the Junior Music Festival on Saturday, February 19 at First United Methodist Church. Entries included piano solos, vocal solos and duets, and 2 vocal ensembles. Attendees included students from Blackwell, Ponca City, Stillwater and Tonkawa. At the Showcase, there will be 1 vocal duos, 8 vocal solos, 3 piano solos and 2 vocal ensembles. The age range is 7 to 18 years old.

Teachers whose students were the winners are: Angela Bunch, Edward Dixon, Suzi Lenhart, Claudia Mornhinweg and Shannon Varner.
