(FAIR LAWN, NJ) – Shanna in a Dress and Kemp Harris will perform at the Hurdy Gurdy Folk Music Club on Saturday, November 13. The night is a co-billed show, the two performers sharing the evening. Tickets cost $ 20 and available for purchasee online.

Shanna in dress is your eccentric best friend who refuses to wear pants. She says what everyone thinks but no one else will and you’ll get an uncensored journey of clever humor and heartbreak with a heavy side of entertainment on her shows. This witty wordmaker is known to make audiences laugh and cry, sometimes in the same song. Think Jason Mraz mixed in with Ingrid Michaelson with a touch of Phoebe Buffay from Friends, all wrapped up in a sweet voice accented by guitar, piano and ukulele.

Kemp harris defies categorization. He is a singer and songwriter, a master weaver of American musical styles. He is an award-winning actor, activist, author and storyteller, and educator who has taught young public school students for over 40 years. Kemp’s powers of observation, his unique gift for enlightening the modern world and what it means to be alive, has only deepened during a life devoted to the most fundamental activity and the deepest: human connection. Whether he’s in class, on a film set, running a workshop, or on stage, “at the end of the day,” Kemp says, “I’m an old black man who tells stories and spreads the word. love “.

To protect everyone’s safety, we require all members of the public to provide proof of vaccination at the door and wear a mask during the show. If you cannot comply, you will not be allowed to attend the show and your ticket purchase will be refunded.
