Watch: AFI Movie Club Celebrates Honored Soul With Tina Fey and Pete Docter

AFI Cinema Club‘s (www.afi.com/movieclub) selection of films of the day of February 21 Soul was selected by the American Film Institute to receive an AFI Award as one of its AFI Films of the Year – the only animated title of 2020 to make the list of winners, which also includes Da 5 bloods, Judas and the Black Messiah, Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom, Mank, Minari, Nomadland, One Night in Miami…, Sound of Metal and The Chicago 7 trial. The AFI Movie Club toasts each of these movies along with its top 2020 TV show picks in a series of showcases with special guests and ‘Behind the Scenes’ conversations with the filmmakers and performers who saw them. brought to life.
